After acquiring the Kyiv manufacturer “Pharma Start”, the Swiss pharmaceutical company “Asino Pharma” will integrate it into the European quality assurance system for the production of medicinal products.

General Director of Asino Pharma, Josten Davidsen, announced this at a press conference in UNIAN. “As an international company, we will integrate the Ukrainian plant “Pharma Start” into the quality assurance system of the Swiss company “Asino”, he said. Davidsen also noted that Asino Pharma will invest in the development of medical personnel and promotion of products to new markets. “We put the main emphasis on the introduction of new products (medical drugs – UNIAN), which we will provide to Ukraine from the already existing Asino portfolio,” said the CEO of the Swiss company. In turn, the general director of “Pharma Start” Yevhen Zayka said that the new products will be brought to the Ukrainian market within two years. “Both Asino and Pharma Start have a powerful new product line that will be launched on the market within the next two years,” he noted. According to Davidson, the new products will be used to treat diseases of the central nervous system and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, he noted that the Kyiv plant will be a central element in Asino Pharma’s entry into the markets of Central Asia and Belarus. Davidsen also added that the Swiss company’s successful entry into the Ukrainian market will serve as an example for other foreign investors. “I believe that this entry into the Ukrainian market of a Swiss company will be an example for foreign investors, and they will come to Ukraine for us,” Davidsen said. In 2014, the turnover of Asino Pharma amounted to 252.5 million euros. On October 1, 2015, “Asino Pharm” acquired the Kyiv plant for the production of medical preparations “Pharma Start”. “Pharma Start” is a Kyiv-based pharmaceutical company that is one of the top 10 Ukrainian pharmaceutical companies. In 2014, its profit was 48.8 million dollars. The plant produces drugs for the treatment of central nervous system and cardiovascular diseases.
