Round table: “Prospects of online medicine trade in Ukraine” 06/10/2020

On June 10, 2020, at 12:00 p.m., a round table was held in the press center of the “Ukrainian News” information agency, dedicated to the prospects for the development of distance and online trade in medicines, as well as improving access for Ukrainians to high-quality high-tech services in the field of medical care.

Dmytro Lurie, legal adviser of AIPM Ukraine, was present at the meeting.

The moderator was Olena Trush, manager and owner of the publishing and consulting company “RedBiz Laboratory of Medical Business”.

Participants:

Serhii Kuzminykh, chairman of the subcommittee on pharmacy and pharmaceutical activities of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on national health, medical care and medical insurance;

Dmytro Levynskyi, doctor, health care management consultant;

Oleksandr Komarida, Director of the Pharmaceutical Directorate of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine;

Olena Rechkina, Director of the Department of Wholesale and Retail Trade of Medicinal Products of the State Service of Ukraine for Medicinal Products and Drug Control;

Oksana Rudenko, Head of the Department of Personal Insurance of SC “UNIKA”;

Olesya Kopchuk, sales director of Nova Poshta company;

Lesya Lytvynova, co-founder of the Svoi Charitable Foundation;

Artur Rotar, head of the Geopharmacy project, Morion company;

Kostyantyn Nadutyy, member of the Coordinating Council of the Ukrainian medical expert community “umeshu”;

Taras Horyn, head of the medical department of Doc.ua.

During the round table, the participants discussed:

  • the first experience of distance trading of medicines and drugs from representatives of chain pharmacies and specialized Market Place;
  • prospects for the development of remote medical services from representatives of the insurance business, assistants, private clinics and medical practitioners, pharmaceutical companies, managers of the field of medical services and leaders of the pharmaceutical industry;
  • prospects for regulatory and legislative regulation of distance trade in medicines;
  • the results of sociological research on how Ukrainians use and see the practical benefits of using modern innovative services of online shopping and address delivery of medicines.
