Companies provide essential humanitarian aid to Ukrainian patients and support the health care system of Ukraine, provide financial assistance to charitable organizations and international funds.
Also, companies actively cooperate with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, other state authorities, state enterprises and institutions in the field of health care, as well as volunteer organizations in order to provide the necessary assistance, as well as to ensure further support of necessary drug stocks in warehouses in the country .
ACINO
Since the beginning of the war, Acino in Ukraine has directed more than 1 million euros to humanitarian goals.
The company shipped 135,000 packages of medicines used in neurology, psychiatry, cardiology, therapy and endocrinology for a total of UAH 30.5 million. Thousands of citizens received this help through more than 225 hospitals, public organizations and charitable foundations of the country.
2 million hryvnias. of the financial aid was directed to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and UAH 4 million was transferred to support the humanitarian and medical needs of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine within the global initiative of the President of Ukraine UNITED24.
Acino allocated UAH 2 million to the “Nestrymni” charity fund. for the purchase of 4 cars for transporting humanitarian aid, moving and evacuating compatriots from active combat zones and occupied territories, and 10 generators to provide electricity to those in need.
In addition, the company’s employees in Kyiv joined charitable initiatives and in October donated 32 liters of blood to support patients of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after M.M. Amosov and collected 4 thousand hryvnias in coins with denominations of 10 and 50 kopecks, as well as 1, 2, 5 and 10 hryvnias within the framework of the “Brave hryvnia” campaign.
The Acino pharmaceutical plant operates in a full production cycle, ensuring uninterrupted access to vital medicines for Ukrainians.
Acino continues to cooperate with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and hospitals, interact with charitable foundations and public associations in order to provide the necessary assistance to the population and the state.
Bayer
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Bayer company has been supporting the population of our country. So far, about 14 million euros of charitable aid has been allocated, in particular:

Berlin-Chemie
Berlin-Chemi is making every possible effort to ensure the needs of health care and the stability of the economy of Ukraine in this difficult time of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
Berlin-Chemi provided and continues to provide charitable assistance to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, patient organizations, local administrations and hospitals both in kind and in cash. The amount of charitable assistance provided by the companies of the Berlin-Chemi group to date is more than 1 million euros. In particular, more than 44,000 packages of our medicines (such as L-Tyroxin, Imet, Siofor, Altar, etc.) were given to medical institutions in the areas most affected by the war, namely in the Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions. This is in addition to the donation of more than 65,000 packages of Berlin-Chemi products (including L-Thyroxine, Dicloberl, Imet, Siofor, Altar, etc.) at the national level to the Ministry of Health, patient groups, JSC “Ukrainian Railway”. L-thyroxine was an important part of our donations, given the war-induced shortage of this product.
In order to ensure the access of patients in Ukraine to the necessary medicines, the companies of the Berlin-Chemi group increased the volume of deliveries to Ukraine at the expense of other markets. In addition, despite the objective economic factors that led to the increase in prices, the companies of the Berlin-Chemi group managed to refrain from increasing the prices of medicines for distributors in Ukraine. Also, in contrast to retail prices in hryvnia for products of local manufacturers, which increased by 35% for January-August 2022, retail prices for Berlin-Chemi products in hryvnia decreased by 2% during this period.
We stand with the Ukrainian people and are ready to support Ukraine’s humanitarian efforts as long as it is necessary, for the benefit of those Ukrainians who remain in Ukraine, as well as those who are fleeing the war abroad, and 10 company employees serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Army of Ukraine.
Bionorica
Every week, Bionorika sends cars with humanitarian cargo (food, hygiene products, children’s products, medicines produced by Bionorika) from the company’s head office in Germany, part of which is aimed at covering the needs of citizens in active combat zones, the other is directed to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Also, the company directed financial assistance in the amount of about 100,000 euros to support war victims and provided sponsorship assistance to children’s clinics in Moldova, which receive and treat children from Ukraine.
EGIS
The company provided humanitarian aid to Ukrainian patients in the amount of 500,000 US dollars and supplied the Ministry of Health of Ukraine with antiseptics, antidepressants, antimicrobials, cardiology drugs and other drugs for emergency care of patients. The company offered further humanitarian aid in the amount of HUF 100 million and planned additional supplies of medicines to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for the benefit of patients.
Ever Pharma
The company handed over painkillers and antibacterial drugs in the amount of about 700,000 euros to healthcare institutions of Ukraine as humanitarian aid.
In addition, EVER Pharma initiated the process of providing free medicines for the treatment of patients with Parkinson’s disease from different regions of Ukraine. The international Austrian-Ukrainian educational project ACURE is also being implemented, designed to improve cooperation in the field of rehabilitation after stroke and brain injury, including combat.
Ipsen Pharma
The company contributed to the provision of humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine through a donation of 1.5 million euros, distributed between two humanitarian organizations – Tulipe, which collects donations from medical companies to respond to the emergency needs of the population affected during acute security crises health, natural disasters and conflicts through its partners in the field, and the International Red Cross in France, an independent charity that works with governments and public bodies.
Orion Pharma
The company has donated EUR 51,000 to the Finnish Red Cross to help victims of the war in Ukraine.
Orion provides assistance to children’s healthcare institutions. As part of the project initiated by the Ukrainian Medical Club, on October 27 in the premises of the Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology named after Academician O.M. A ceremony of providing humanitarian aid — a rehydration mixture for young patients of the Institute — was held at the Lukyanova National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.
Orion, with the support of the national distributor Apopharm, helped the hospital with drugs for rehydration therapy: Rehydron Bio and RehydroStandard, which are specially designed for children’s patients. Despite the difficult times, cooperation between Orion and NDSL “OKHMATDYT” continues.
Perrigo
The Perrigo company provided charitable assistance with medicines from the anti-cold group, personal care products in the amount of about 300 pallets and provided high-quality equipment for employees fighting at the front.
“Perrigo Ukraine” LLC additionally transferred the company’s products to the Ukrainian Armed Forces for UAH 500,000.
Teva
The head office of Teva provided Ukraine with charitable aid in the form of medicines in the amount of more than 11 million dollars. Charitable aid includes more than 1.3 million packages of medicines, including antibiotics, anti-colds and other essential medicines from the WHO list. The company also donated hygiene products for Ukrainian babies and children.
In addition, during the war, the Ukrainian division of Teva handed over about 460,000 packages of medicines worth more than 42 million dollars. to the address of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, non-profit and charitable organizations.
UCB
In order to support humanitarian efforts, the company handed over aid in the amount of 300,000 euros to the International Rescue Committee and the Belgian Red Cross.
The company delivered 5,000 units of anti-epileptic drugs and 5,000 units of anti-allergic drugs through the Tulipe charity organization to help patients in Ukraine.
In addition, the company made two more deliveries of drugs for the treatment of epilepsy patients, for a total amount of 679,000 Euros.
UCB purchased 3 ambulances, equipped them with modern medical equipment, and sent them to Ukraine with the help of the “BEForUkraine” charity fund.
