On advertising regulation

With its Appeal Association expressed the position of company-members regarding the MOH proposal to strengthen the regulation of medicines advertising in order to perform the provisions of coalition agreement.

Defending the principles of responsible advertising and ethic promotion of medical drugs, based on outstanding world practice, we are convinced that up to date regulation of medical drugs advertising is sufficient, adequate to EU rules. Main requirements and principles are implemented and the main task is to strictly follow and fulfil them. We would like to remind that as a result of last amendments to the respective legislation, only OTC-drugs can be advertised (RX-medicines are forbidden to advertise), among which there are the list of those, banned to advertise according to the criteria approved by the Ministry of Health.
